Since 2015 the Create Vancouver Society has been on a mission transforming Vancouver's inner city to a more meaningful place of creativity through huge pieces of public art... more than 250 to be exact!

The Van Mural Festival is dedicated to connecting people and communities through artistic expression. There have been more than two hundred murals in eleven key neighbourhoods including Gastown, Marpole, Stratchcona and South Granville. The 2021 festival had more than 40 live shows.

Although the festival officially runs in August and September you can explore murals on foot with a cup of coffee any time of the year via downloading the app or visiting the map online for the Mt Pleasant district. There is an online catalogue of the murals, each of which tells a unique story. There is significant representation from Indigenous artists.
