Try a legendary Canadian Caesar cocktail

John

Updated: May 16, 2020

If you like a bloody Mary... you will LOVE a Caesar.

This legendary Canadian cocktail contains vodka, clamato juice (tomato and clam broth) hot sauce and ]served with ice in a celery salt-rimmed glass. Virgin (non alcoholic) versions are always available. Nom.

A lot of local bars do their own creative varieties and adorn these cocktails with ridiculous loadings of fried food. Score on Davie produce a $65 Caesar which can feed three people. On Vancouver Island the Brentwood Bay Hotel does purist versions where you can add pickle, bacon and maple accents. Edible Canada also makes a decent one on Granville Island. If you want to perfect your signature drop you can find clamato juice at most Canadian retailers.
