Swimming at Mystery Lake

John

A quick drive from the city at Mt Seymour the Mystery Lake trail is an easy hike and swim option to cool down in the summer heat.

The trail is short and not too challenging at 3,000 metres return and only 200 metres elevation gain. You wind your way north from the bottom of the chairlift across some of the ski runs before entering a calm forested region.

After about 25 minutes of walking you will find Mystery Lake. Bring your swimming and floating gear and relax for the afternoon.. don't forget snacks. The lake is large enough that people spread out around the shores. There are some nice flat rocks to sit on in the water too. On the eastern edge you may see people jumping into the water off the small cliff area. Dog and family friendly!
