Ski after work

With three local mountains less than fourty minutes away, Vancouver is one of the only major metropolitan regions in the world where you can ski after work!

Buying tickets in advance will make evening sessions very affordable at less than thirty dollars. Mt Seymour has a heavily discounted ladies day on Mondays and Grouse runs an annual twenty four hour ski session in spring.

Grouse Mountain

The closest option at only twenty five minutes drive from downtown and probably the best after work ski session. All the main runs open until ten pm and it is magical to look out over the city skyline at night from 'the peak' blue run. You can grab a happy hour meal in North Vancouver on your way home, plenty of options only a short detour away adjacent to Park Royal. Accessible with evo car share and public bus making it an easy option for those without a car.

Cypress

You will need a little more time to visit after work as the drive is significantly longer than Grouse. Only the mid mountain (1275 metres) of Mount Strachan tends to open at night, but the snow on this side of the resort tends to be warmer and less icy. The Panorama green run has epic skyline views. Car parks are easy to access after work and you can use a

night/daytripper car share if needed.

Seymour

The Eastern city mountain is great for a cheap evening session that won't break the bank. The mystery peak express and lodge chairs open to serve two major runs. There are city views and far fewer people. The wind can be relatively strong at times and the resort shuts an hour earlier than the others.
