Shop the Granville Island markets

John

Updated: May 16, 2020

Granville Island has one of the best public markets in Vancouver. It is a good half-day experience accessible by small ferry, bus or car. Parking is near impossible on the Island so best to stroll in from public footpath underneath Highway 99 accessed from 2nd Avenue.

The Public Market has plenty of fresh grocery options and meals to go. There are numerous reputable bakeries and Edible Canada is an excellent place to take visitors to try local favourites like Ceasar cocktails. One of my favourite things to do is sit with a cold drink and admire the wonderful views towards downtown. Be careful that the circling gulls don't nab your food!
