See polar bears in Manitoba

Updated: May 17, 2020

This is on my to-do-list and I'm looking forward to the experience but I thought it pertinent to mention here in case you are arriving into Canada soon.

In November the town of Churchill in Northern Manitoba experiences a tourism boom in the annual polar bear season. With the return of the ice in winter the bears roam through the town. Travel can be hideously expensive via regional airplanes so save your pennies. It is recommended to travel via an official tour. There is a fantastic article written on the experience published in the Guardian here.
