Old School 5 Pin Bowling

John

Hiring a lane at one of Vancouver's three main bowling alleys is the perfect winter activity to make you smile.

Five pin bowling feels charmingly retro; the slippery red shoes, 1980s computer monitors and dimly-lit basement on Granville Street. The Commodore bowling and billiards centre is a licensed venue and best to book a lane over the weekend. After settling in you will notice how different the five pin game is compared to more modern ten pin alternatives. It is really affordable and a great activity for a small group of pals. Drinks and cheap eats are available too.

Other options include the Grandview Lanes in East Van and North Shore Bowl.
