Hike Quarry Rock

John

Updated: May 17, 2020

Hands down my favourite hike in the lower mainland. The eastern section of the Baden Powell trail is a rewarding four kilometre walk taking you to a sky high lookout over the mountains around Belcarra and the Indian Arm.

The trail head is accessible by public bus and can be found here on Panorama Drive. This route is really popular so avoid weekends if you can. It only takes about ninety minutes return so is possible to do after work. One of the best times of year to hike is on a sunny day in September when the small waterfalls flow after recent rains.

The trail can get muddy at the start and is generally well maintained. A large portion of it has wooden walkways and small bridges. You can bring dogs too.

Why not reward your hard work with a honey donut or kayak session in Deep Cove afterwards? A great place to bring visitors.
