Dine Out Vancouver

For seventeen days across the post-festive season lull, hospitality venues in Vancouver open their doors so you can 'dine-out'. If there's a boogie restaurant you've been waiting to try, the chances are you will get the opportunity to satisfy your taste buds with their Dine Out Festival menu.

The purpose of the event is to let locals explore culinary experiences from guided dining adventures, spirited cocktails and neighbourhood food tours. In recent years venues have significantly limited their menus during Dine Out. Sometimes I've found there is a small food quality sacrifice to keep up with demand.

In general you will be able to purchase pre-set meal options across standardised price points. For example a restaurant might offer a thirty five dollar three course dine-out meal or a twenty five dollar two course option. For the big names I recommend booking early. Sometimes if the festival has been extremely popular you will find some restaurants kindly continue their specials for an extra week afterwards. If the venue is licensed they often pair local B.C. wines which gives you a chance to try these also.

An excellent winter warmer.
