Capilano treetop adventure in summer & winter

John

Updated: May 17, 2020

Not for those with a fear of heights. This 140 metre long 70 metre high suspension bridge is a really accessible landmark in North Vancouver. It is a great place to take friends and family visiting Vancouver as you can go after work. Buy an annual pass by converting your full-priced ticket the first time you exit the park, you can then accompany people free for the rest of the year.

The park itself is very well maintained and serviced by a free shuttle bus from downtown. The bridge is generally packed with people taking selfies but the cliffwalk is far less frequented. The treetop adventure will give you the best sense of the forrest and is built with a unique adjustable collar system that will move as the trees grow. It is up to thirty three metres high and there is a kids rainforest explorer program available too.

The contrast between summer and winter is worth experiencing. The winter lights and Christmas decorations are magical.
